Portfolio Performance Calculator

Our performance tool uses your risk tolerance, time horizon, and initial deposit to reveal how Wahed portfolios have historically performed—helping you make confident, informed decisions for your financial goals.

The tool calculates hypothetical results based on historical data and user-provided inputs (e.g., initial investment amount, risk level, and time horizon). Investing involves risks, including the loss of principal. Hypothetical performance does not reflect actual trading or the impact of market conditions and is subject to significant limitations. Refer detailed disclaimer here.

Performance Calculator – Disclosure & Disclaimer

The results generated by this Performance Calculator are hypothetical and provided solely for illustrative purposes. They do not represent the actual performance of any client account or portfolio managed by Wahed Limited ("Wahed") and should not be interpreted as a guarantee, forecast, or indication of future performance.

This tool evaluates the historical performance of certain Shariah-compliant portfolios offered by Wahed to clients in Nigeria. The portfolios presented are used solely to illustrate potential outcomes based on the assumptions and limitations described below. The calculator does not assess all investment products available in Nigeria, and alternative investments may produce materially different results.

Performance figures shown are net of Wahed's management fee of 1.50% per annum.

Investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal. Historical performance and hypothetical illustrations are provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as investment advice, a recommendation, a prediction, or an assurance of future results. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance.

No Advisory Relationship

Use of this tool does not create an advisory, fiduciary, discretionary portfolio management, or client relationship with Wahed. Users should seek independent professional advice that takes into account their individual financial circumstances, investment objectives, and risk tolerance.

Tool Methodology - Assumptions & Limitations

The calculator estimates hypothetical historical investment outcomes based on a user's self-assessed risk tolerance, selected investment amount, and investment horizon. This approach has inherent limitations, as a user's self-assessment may not accurately reflect their actual risk capacity, financial circumstances, or long-term investment objectives.

The calculator is based on the following assumptions:

  • Historical fund returns are derived from annual performance figures published in the relevant fund factsheets. These figures are used solely for illustrative purposes and are not indicative of future performance.
  • The calculator applies historical annual returns associated with the selected investment strategy to estimate hypothetical growth over the chosen investment period. Actual investment results may differ materially from the figures presented.
  • A management fee of 1.50% per annum is incorporated into the calculation. The methodology is simplified and may not fully reflect the timing, accrual, or compounding effects of fees in an actual investment account.
  • Estimated ending values are calculated by applying historical returns and deducting applicable fees. The calculation does not fully account for the potential compounding impact of fees or other real-world factors.
  • The calculation assumes that the initial investment remains fully invested throughout the selected period. It does not account for additional contributions, withdrawals, transfers, taxes, transaction costs, currency fluctuations, or other investor-specific circumstances that may affect actual outcomes.
  • The selected risk profile and portfolio allocation are assumed to remain unchanged throughout the investment period. The calculator does not account for portfolio rebalancing, tactical allocation changes, changes in market conditions, or changes in an investor's risk tolerance over time.

No information generated by this calculator should be construed as investment advice or a recommendation to invest in any particular portfolio or strategy. Investment advice, where applicable, is provided separately through Wahed's digital application and subject to the applicable onboarding and suitability assessment process.
