Going Through a Change?
We’re Here to Help

Life does not always go to plan. A change in your job or income, a bereavement, an illness, new caring responsibilities, or simply a period when money feels tighter, any of these can affect how you feel about your finances and your investments.

At Wahed, we want you to know that whatever you are going through, you do not have to manage it alone. If your situation has changed, or you are finding things difficult, please talk to us. We are here to listen and to help you understand your options, without judgment and without pressure.

When to reach out

There is no situation too big or too small. You might want to get in touch if:
  • Your income or work has changed, or you are worried about money.
  • You have been affected by a life event such as a bereavement, illness, separation, or a new caring responsibility.
  • The value of your investments has fallen and you are unsure what to do.
  • You need a little extra support to manage your account, or you would prefer we contact you in a particular way.
  • You are feeling overwhelmed and would simply like to talk something through.
Reaching out early gives us the best chance to help. You do not need to wait until things reach a crisis point.

How we can help

When you get in touch, we can:
  • Take the time to understand your situation and what matters to you.
  • Talk you through how your account and investments work, and the options available to you.
  • Make reasonable adjustments so we can support you in the way that works best for you.
  • Point you towards trusted, free and independent organisations if you need specialist support with money, benefits, or your wellbeing.

Extra support and adjustments

If it would make things easier, we can offer support such as:
  • Communicating with you through your preferred channel, and giving you extra time.
  • Providing information in a different format, for example large print.
  • Using Relay UK if you are deaf or have a speech difficulty.
  • Adding a trusted family member or carer as a nominated contact, with your permission.
Please note that Wahed does not provide debt counselling or personalised financial advice. What we can do is help you understand your account and connect you with people who offer specialist support.
